Empty row at top of portal?

No. However, you CAN put a fake "row" made up of global fields above the portal, and an "add" button to create a new related record and populate it with data from the global fields (and clear them at the end).

You can click a button at the top of the portal and (behind the scenes), create a new portal record (behind a Freeze Window to portal layout); relationship or portal sorted descending by creation timeStamp and then place the cursor in the first row in any field you wish, before the User even notices it.

It may not always be the BEST method, but sometimes it is useful. smiley-smile
