Change Year

I have a FMP7 file with a set of records with the wrong year in the date field.

Is there an easy way of changing the field contents of the set to just amend the first two characters of the year, replace 20 with 19. The date format is set as follows; dd/mm/yyyy

I want to change just two characters **/**/20** to **/**/19** and keep all other characters in each record as they are.

Thanks

FC

A date is not stored as text. Therefore, you should manipulate the date, not the textual display of a date:

Date ( Month ( yourDatefield ) ; Day ( yourDatefield ) ; Year ( yourDatefield ) -100 )

Use this in a looped SetField[] script step, or in Replace Field Contents. Make sure you have a backup, as this is not reversible.
