brainplug
I am running FM 6. Basically, i have two value list. one is call Location and the other one is call ProgramName. The Location value list is located in the DB call Student Files, ProgramName is locate in the DB call Programs. I call RogramName in Student Files via a relationship, using the the field ProgramID. Here is my issue, my ProgramName list has gotten to big user have to scroll down to find the programname they want to use. Basically, what i want to happen is that when a user pick a Location, i want them ProgramName to only display those program that has the location listed in their name. here is exame ple. if i choose Austin >Show only >Austin Spring 05 am or what other program have the word Austin in their name. I was thinking of using Conditional Value but i am not sure how to go about linking both of them to make this happen. thanks victor
FileMakin' Tom
You need to create a relationship between the files to act as a filter. This will respond with only those records which match the relationship key.

Inky Phil
Hi Victor and Tom Victor, when you specify your value list one of the options will be to 'use values from a field'. If you choose this option then the next screen will give you the chance to choose the field programme name, via the relationship and check the box 'use related values only'. That should get what you want HTH Phil

sudhakar
Hi, I am using FM Pro 7 on windows 2000 and internet explorer. I have a problem in sending email. I have a database and published it through IWP. Now i want to select some specific records according to some specific criteria and i have to send a mail(which contains all the records) to a person. From IWP, "Send Mail" Script is not working. How can i do this, please help me. I have seen some third-party plugins on the web. Can we do it without using these plugins. Thanx.
