Column Report Layout

I'd like to create a report layout that displays data fields in columns with records appearing across the page (as opposed to a vertical list.)

 

Using the method recommended in the FileMaker help section, I succeeded in creating a layout that come close, but each column displays the data fields and corresponding labels. I'd like to have the field labels appear only on the left side with data fields appearing in the columns.

 

I improvised such a layout by creating a standard list report, then rotating everything 90 degrees. I used the header part for the field labels, but that doesn't allow me to create a header that would appear at the top of the report.

 

Does anybody know of a better way to do this?
