Updating a series of related portals

Hello,

I have three related files (Events,Sessions, Reservations)with portals displaying the related information in each. I have calculation fields that summarize the information in the portal - for example:

In the Sessions file, there are 5 records displayed in the Reservations Portal - each reserving for 3 people, and a calculation tallies that there are 15 reservations in total. Then in the Events file, a similar summary of reservations for all related sessions.

 

The trouble is this... When new reservations are made to the reservations file (via the portal in Sessions) the tally is not automatically updating in Events. How do I ensure these update - real-time?
