dvandam Posted March 28, 2005 Share Posted March 28, 2005 I believe FileMaker has thrown our application a curve with version 7 and I wonder if anyone has an idea (other than an extra script) how to deal with it. In earlier versions if someone copied and pasted a block of text into a field in a record in FileMaker and that text contain some tabs and that record was in turn exported, the tabs were converted to spaces internally by FileMaker. This worked great for our members who export records to send to other members. But in version 7 it seems that the tabs are retained in the exported text which throws the field order off when one of our members sends a record to another member to import.
