Suzanne
I have a damaged file and when I go to recover it it asks me if I want to save it as theFileName Recovered.fp5 but then it doesn't save it. Is the file gone for good or is there another way? Suzanne
andygaunt
Hi Suzanne, sometimes, when a file is damaged and you go to repair it, you just get a flash on the screen and no message. Try moving the file into the root directory of your hard drive. Sometimes it is caused by the filename (including the path to the file) being too long. Give this a go and let us know how you get on. Dave Wootton
This "bug" is addressed by an update, which fixes the limited path problem. I'm waiting for FMI to produce an update for Developer 5.5, as I too have experienced this issue and only by reading the update documentation, managed to solve it.
