bmontene
I'm a new admin for a filemaker server and i'm trying to get in the filemaker web connector and the previous admin didn't document the login and password and I'm trying to figure out how to reset the password. Can somebody help me or point me in the right direction. Thank You
Maarten Witberg
If you press alt while opening a file, you'll get the prompt for password entry. But if you don't have the old login and password, I don't think you can change them. kjoe
Jason
We had to use this program http://www.lostpassword.com/filemaker.htm it costs money but it works
Vaughan
Errr, this is a question about server admin passwords, not database passwords. If all else fails you might need to uninstall then reinstall the software. This will lose all settings so don't do it as a first strategy. For MacOS I believe the passowrds are held in the Prefs file. Delete the prefs file adn they're reset. Dunno about Windows.
