Nyto Posted January 20, 2005 Share Posted January 20, 2005 Hi! I am new with FMpro7 an I hope someone can help me out. I have imported a database from ACCESS to Filemaker. In one of the tables, I would like to generate a new ID field (automatic serial number). The thing is I dont know how to make it. Maarten Witberg Posted January 20, 2005 Share Posted January 20, 2005 Hi Nyto, go to the serial field, select from the menubar->records -> replace contents, and choose "serial number" from the dialog, starting at 1 or the suggested value, whichever you prefer. replace contents is available as a script step, if you perform this action regularly. kjoe Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
