Vanessa
I have created date fields for users to input a date into [not necessarily current date]. However I don't seem to be able to find a way to enter the data in the usual English way - ie: we normally enter the day first, then the month. Although I can format the field to display the date as dd/mm/yy, most users will try and enter the data in this format and will then be faced with an error message. Can you help me please? andygaunt
Vanessa, In your format menu is the Use system formats in grey or in black. If it is in black, then that database is not set to use your system formats (eg British), but probably American. You can set the use system formats to on, or you can save a copy of your database as a clone (no records) and then import your data into this clone. By saving as a clone with no records it sets the database to the current system formats. HTH
