atomicanne
Is there a way to block users from creating a new database in the menu? Like an encapsulated app or Kiosk? Can this be done if a database is created in developer?
andygaunt
If using 5.5, then network administrators can disable the new database menu command. Or alternatively a plugin like securefm, where you can stop them from using any or all of the menus, even hide them. With this tool you can also stop them closing the database by clicking the close window tool as well as many other great things.

andygaunt
Always happy to please. Although the boss hugging thing may be taking it a bit too far! Which option caused this behaviour on your bosses part. Regards
atomicanne
We just needed to know that it could be done. We are about to finally upgrade to 5.5 from 4.1v3. We are going to try to depoly 5.5 via Citrix to avoid having to touch 500 desktops. So you can under stand our excitement.
