Hi all

Does anyone know how to type in a julian date ie. 365 and have it show as a date format ie. 12/31/04 ? Going the other way is doable so I know someone has figured out how to go the other way. Thanks!

Sorry for the spelling errors. I spent the day changing out two win98 machines with two winxp machines. What a joy the file & settings transfer program is.

Sure. In the functions you can pull the day of the year from a date. 1 Jan. is day 001, 31 Dec. is day 365. I want to do just the opposite. I want to be able to type in the Julian date "365" and get the date 12/31/04. It's a given that the year is the current.

Thanks.

Okay, create an unstored calculation (date) field: Date(1, 0, Year(Status(CurrentDate))) + numdate, where numdate is the field to be entered. 365 will give you 12/30/04, by the way, due to it being a leap year.
