Testing 2 criteria for 1 result

Recommended Posts

I am pretty new to Filemaker Pro, but have a basic knowledge of how it works. Here's what I'm trying to do: I have a calculation fields in which I need to determine a total of people of a specific age and specific gender.

EX: Person 1 is a 40-year-old female

Person 2 is a 35-year-old male

Person 3 is a 42-year-old female

**I need to calculate how many females between 35 to 45 years of age in one field & how many males between 35 to 45 years of age.**

How do I do that? HELP!!

Hopefully you have two fields: age & gender.

Create two calculation fields:

cIsTargetMale: gender="male" and age>= 35 and age

cIsTargetFemale: gender="female" and age>=35 and age

Each of those calculations will return a value of 1 if all conditions are true.

You can then create two summary fields that provide a total of the two calculation fields.
