This is what im trying to do. When sales tax comes around every quater im trying to make a calulation with a global field for a date and a range for a calucaltion ex(gdate) or (gdate + 1)up to (endgdate) Now i was thinking that i could take 365 days devided by 4 and that would give me the + whatever number i needed but i want it to stop on a certain date. so for instance (gstart) (gstart + 1) up to genddate. I want it to not relate anything past genddate. Anyone have any ideas.

Send a personal note to "Cobalt Sky" requesting the URL for his great Nightwing website relating to Dates. It is very informative and will assist you in your project.

Hey Tyson,

Quarter end dates are a hard code (Jan 1 - Mar 31, etc.) therefore your only variable is the year. You can calculate the search with a case formula (undisplayed calc field). Use your favorite way to select the quarter and year (radio buttons, pick list, etc). Tie the find (script) to an execute button and it should work just fine. laugh.gif
