Cases Per Day

Hi

I want to create a single calc_field that will calculate the Avarage of cases_per_day for a certain call center.

Exmple :

12/03/03 - case...

12/03/03 - case...

13/03/03 - case...

16/03/03 - case...

16/03/03 - case...

16/03/03 - case...

Basically, the calc should be

(status(currentdate)- [date_of_first_case] / status(currentrecordcount))

But the problem is that the weekend are also counted... when they shouldn't, casue the call center does not work on weekend.

I already did it as a script (buy using [dayofweek6 or 7] - Israeli weekend) and it is working , but I'm sure there is a way to that with a calculation...

tnx in advance

I forgot to mention that I want it to be as acurate as possible and that is why i'm not using No_of_days/7 .

Hi

My own posts got me thinking..(finally smile.gif ),

and I have the following calc that is working quite good :

Status( CurrentRecordCount)/((Status( CurrentDate)-test::date)-Round(((Status( CurrentDate)-test::date)/7)*2,-1))

The test::date is a self join relationship sorted by date in order to get the earliest date.

If anyone can think of a better way, please share.

If I wasted anyones' time I am trully sorry...
