Peter
My uncle has got FM on his old Mac and would like to copy some files for me. I'm working on a WIN version of FM and would like to know if there is any chance to use his files (...and how he should save it or how I can call it up!?) Any ideas? would be glad of an answer! Thanks, Peter
hairyjim
If you mean you wish to use his database solutions then either put the extension .fp3 (For filemaker 4.x)or .fp5 (for filemaker 5.x) after each file name.
Peter
thanks for your reply ! but I never worked on a MAC (although they are said to be better...!) and on my pentium I can't even read a floppy that was formatted on a MAC... greetings, Peter
Anatoli
Peter, better way is to insert PC floppy to Mac. Also for PC are utilities for reading and writing Mac disks.
Anatoli
Hey Peter, you are just around the corner, I can be with you tomorrow Provided Austrians will not block the border crossing because of this stupid atomic power station build by Czech idiots with international idiots’ help. Peter
Hey Anatoli, where are you living? In the Czech Republic ? Yeah, you're right with that power plant... Greetings, Peter
Anatoli
I am sorry to change subject. If that will go off, we all will be affected! Russian reactor with Westinghouse technology! And our politicians are saying it is safe! Did the PC floppy work in Mac?
