Make a calendar

Hi everybody,

Just registered cool.gif

Could anyone help me to find an explanation on how I could make a calendar. I'd like to make a project manager linked with a calendar to plan things but just don't know how to do...

If it's too complicated, just give me the tittle of a book or even better an URL where I could find this... Would be great help.

Thanks

There are many good ways to create a calendar for Filemaker, depends upon your needs. I use a database I purchased for a small fee as a template written by a very smart persons and used as a starting point. Allows for easy display of dates in a month format, clicking on the requested day takes you to that days agenda... There are also plugins that do above but much more sophisticated. And finally wonderful already to go solutions available for purchase. You may want to try Filemaker.com, look at plugins and solutions to get an idea of what is out there. DJK

Steve, i was looking at your calendar -- very nice-- but i was wondering why it stops working before 1998 and after 2011.

I'm using filemaker pro advanced 10, so i had to convert it and i'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I'm looking for this for Filemaker 12. I downloaded Steves version, but am unable to convert it. Can you convert it and send it to me @ serafinsilva@hotmail.com?

Please...

Thank you.

Serafin.

I'd suggest you start with something more modern. Check out the seedcode calendar at http://www.seedcode.com .

I downloaded the free version from seedcode.com, was impressed and ultimately purchased the full version. The help files are very good and emails to customer service were returned with complete answers. It's a very solid calendar solution and the open architecture is modifiable to whatever degree you wish to dive in. :encouragement:
