Problem with script

Recommended Posts

Dear Experts,

Please can I get some help with this script?

It is working fine in one file that I use to make experimental changes to; it is not working in my main "live"  database.  It simply displays a table with no records instead of throwing up the dialog box when there are no records present for the search criterion.

The second script does throw up a standard Filemaker error box in my live database.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you676687538_ScreenShot2019-04-30at2_42_01AM.thumb.png.0c626beaa59f58fb730ab091646c92b0.png

Did you try it without the 1 in quotes?

What is the actual error you are getting?

I’m a little confused about what you are asking. The first script finishes after the find and doesn’t do anything else. It is doing exactly as the script says.

What isn’t working? What are you expecting to happen?

Hi, it is not generating the error message like it is supposed to when there are no records. It shows a record with all fields blank.

I am getting this problem in one filemaker file but not in another (working fine).

Kind regards,

Looking at the 2 scripts, you are missing the whole section that tells FileMaker to capture the error and show the dialog when there is an error.
