Problem with field output

Recommended Posts

Dunedin_fm

Dear Experts, please can you advise as to the problem here?  I have a field that is displaying '1e+18'.  When it is selected/active, it displays what I want it to display, which is a count of checked items in a value list across a number of records.  I have used an identical solution that is working fine in the another field (on the left side in the picture).  Please see pics attached.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Kind Regards

Make sure the field is set as text.  Check the inspector to make sure there is no other additional formatting changing the output.

Hi,

The first field is actually set as a calculation, as is the second.  Can't seem to see any difference between the two.

Is the calculation result set to text in both?  Can you put up a sample file?

This is definitely a data type issue.  See my screenshot of where you check to make sure the calculation is set to "Text" as @Steve Martino pointed out.
