Hi, I am trying to have a multiple conditional value list in a portal.

I want to add information for organizing meetings. Choose options and then display the price.

So I would like to have:

1) General data

a. Meeting name / b. meeting place / c. date / d. Donor / e. Total price

2) Prices

a. Category / b. Type / c. Brand / d. Other specifications / e. Presentation / f. price / g. number of people

3) Meeting specifications

Here I would like to have conditional value lists depending on the prices information

a. Category (options from prices)

b. Type (options from category selection)

c. Brand (options from type selection)

d. Other specifications (options from brand selection)

e. Number of people (new data)

f. Number of products (new data)

I tried to do the conditional value list and I managed to make 3 levels (photo here), I couldn't add Other specifications.

And I really can't put the Meeting specifications in a portal. I really need them to be there

Can anyone help me? ThanksScreen Shot 2017-04-23 at 10.10.30 PM.png

Can you please post a sample file of your database fir us to have a better understanding of the situation?

Yes.

My input table (where my value lists will be showing options) is the Values table.

Then I have my ENTRY table, which has the meeting specification fields.

And a General data table (with the fields specified before)

I would like to have two layouts.

1) A table in which the the input information will be stored (already done).

2) General data fields and a portal showing the ENTRY fields

I can't find a way to make the portal workScreen Shot 2017-04-25 at 10.35.50 PM.png

Cool demo Jaymo, but I have a question about your auto enter calculation.

Evaluate(Quote(""); [Country; Province])

I saw this technique in your videos for deleting the data in a field in a multi conditional value list scenario. But I still can't quite grasp how it works.

I think it's saying (this auto enter is on the city field) "If Country or Province are modified, set the city field to "" (blank)". Is that the correct interpretation? Exactly how it works with Quote is baffling to me, but that's a discussion for another day.

Just wondering.

Thanks

Steve

Good question! And your answer is correct! Seemed to me more efficient and easier to write than a Case statement testing every field.

Quick follow up, if you don't mind. So if I wanted it, instead of empty, to say "Select a City", would I just put that in the quotes instead of ""? (I realize I could make it blank and put placeholder text in there too).

Yes, but I would use Placeholder Text for that feature.
