Container Field not storing Data

Recommended Posts

I'm using FM11 Advance, Created a global field to hold an icon. Using "Insert Picture" as its a .png file and all works find with the database on my laptop. However, when I implemented it on the server database and "Inserted Picture" it's there until I close the database. When reopening the file the field is empty. Any idea why?

Global fields are created per user session; in a local copy, that makes no difference, but in hosted scenario, the contents of your globals are lost when you end that session .

Either open the file locally, then add your container contents, or store these contents in regular fields and use a start script to copy them into the global fields.
