slakkie
I am working on a solution where I have a Value List in a drop down edit box but I need to know if it is possible to make the list options multi colored.:confused:
slakkie
Each option must be able to have a different colour. Like the first 2 maybe green the other 3 purple etc. Can this be done?
torch_55
If you mean to make the list values a different color, I don't know how to do that. But you can use conditional formatting in the edit box to display the selected entry a given color.
AHunter3
Value Lists: no Portal showing the values that would be IN the value list: yeah It's how we used to make conditional value lists before they were invented in FileMaker 5: instead of a dropdown value list, a portal to related records, with the relevant field doubling as a button that mimics the behavior of selecting that value from a value list attached to a relevant field. Josh Ormond
If you are using 13 or 14...pop-overs with a portal list can be really slick. Here is a simple screenshot from Beezwax's blog.
