Vertical Scrolling of Multiple Fields

Recommended Posts

Hyperscripter

I have a database with the following fields: Date, Name, Address, City, State and Zip Code. All of the fields are Edit Box type with vertical scroll bars. I would like to make it so that when I scroll the zip code field (on the far right), the other fields will scroll in unision with the zip code field, therefore keeping the lines of each field in sync.

I tried grouping the fields together for this but, to no avail. Anyone have an idea on how to do this ? I have searched far and wide on this topic and I don't know if I just am not expressing clearly what I want or what.

I am using FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced on Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)

I'm having a bit of trouble envisioning how a field with a scroll bar would scroll to multiple records, but be that as it may...

Try creating a self-join relationship with a new TO of your table. Use a Cartesian (X) relationship in order that all records are related. Show your five fields in a portal which is set up with a scroll bar.

Do you have all your data return-delimited in one record? A bunch of addresses for each person, maybe?
