FMPuser1
Hello, We have an older version of Filemaker Pro ... version 5 and I'm totally new to it. As a result, I'm sorry if this is a basic and simple question. In our database we have a layout and when I go into this layout in edit mode I see that one of the fields is a "Calculated Value". I'm trying to figure out how I can see how this value is calculated, such as which database fields are used and such. Is there a menu option or something similar that I can use to see how this calculation is derived? Thanks So Much...
AHunter3
go into Field Definitions, then either the field TYPE is a Calculation field or, more likely, is a text or number or date or etc field with a Field Option (see button in field definitions) of Auto-enter (one of the option types) of Calculated Value (see "Specify" button which shows you the formula).
