I have a server installed with Filemaker Pro Server Advanced 12, a computer installed with Filemaker Pro Advanced 12 and an IPad installed with Filemaker Go. All client are connected to the server via remote. The thing is I want to press a button in the computer and the IPad will automatically go to the related record. For example, In a patient profile page , there's a button . When I hit that button, The Ipad's Filemaker Go will go to the related patient record from the computer. Is it possible? Techphan Posted June 22, 2012 Share Posted June 22, 2012 Afaik the answer is no for a direct communication "button press." But you might be able to improvise a setup where you enter the record # into a field on the computer and then use a timer-fired script on the iPad to check every so often to see if there is a record to open. You will also want to include the logic where the iPad timed-script does NOT fire when a record is open on the iPad until the iPad user designates as such.
