Error on Send mail script

Sending mail via local mail ends up always to error "Some of the files that are needed are either damaged or have not been installed. Please run the installer to correct this problem."

Reinstalling seems not to fix problem that happens in several Macs (10.5.x, 10.6.x) and versions (both FMP11 Advaced and FMP11, updated to v04 give same error).

However, sending via SMTP seems to work.

Is it definitely a FileMaker Pro error and not an Outlook/Eudora/Apple Mail/Thunderbird/whatever error?

Are you sending mail using a Send Mail script step in a script, a direct Send Mail button-function, or File menu ——> Send ——> Mail?

Thank you for reply.

Yes, it seems to be FileMaker Pro error. On debugger it shows error code 130.

And SMTP mail via server is working perfectly all the way.

Initially, I thought that problem is that local mail works on local database (not server hosted) only.

But making local database and sending there makes no difference.

Same problem no matter if it sent using script step, button or file menu command.

FileMaker 11 should be able to use the Send Mail script step on 10.5.x of 10.6.x; it's odd that the error persists when you uninstall and reinstall FileMaker.

Try creating a new MacOS X account and log in as that account and THEN try it.

Any difference?

Also: create a new blank FileMaker file from scratch and create a script with the Send Mail scsript step. Same issue?
