Filemaker Go freezes with a simple New Record / Request

This is bizarre. Using the Go New Record / request button creates a new record placing the cursor in the correct field according to tab sort order. But if I add a button to the layout and use the New Record / Request Script item alone... nothing else, the screen zooms into the field and freezes Go. I might be able to type one letter but then it freezes the whole system.

I'm building this app for the iPad but I don't have one yet so this is happening on my iPhone 4 with the latest iOS and Go. It's like a process is going on in the background creating an infinite loop. Earlier versions of the Filemaker Pro 11 Advanced version work perfectly... no weird zoom and you just type away. This started when I enlarged all the layouts to iPad size... 1024 x 768. Maybe that's the problem. But then, why does it work perfectly when I click on New Record in the Go Nav bar??

Thanks,

Jefe

Hi all,

Anyone have any ideas on this? I've got several databases to convert to apps but this New Record / Request issue between Filemaker Pro 11 Advanced and Filemaker Go has stopped my development.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Figured it out. It works fine on the iPad and the latest update for Go that just came out today fixes the freeze problem. It still zooms in but it navigates between fields using the sort order perfectly now.

Problem solved... pretty much.
