Checkboxes, Importing records from Excel

I have been importing thousands of new records of data into one of my databases. In lieu of spending hours clicking "1" or "2" I was wondering if there is specific text I can put into the excel spreadsheet to force it to check a certain box.

I hope I did not misunderstand your question...

Place the value "1" or "2" in the data while it is in Excel. You can drag several thousands items very quickly. Then import the records. In FileMaker designate the field as a checkbox with a value list of "1" and "2" (on separate lines of the value list definition, of course). The field can be text or numeric, whatever suits your needs best.
