I'm new to the department and retrieved some old Filemaker pro 7 files to retrieve some old data we now need. Unfortunately the guy who created them years ago no longer works here, and when I try to open the files it asks for a username/password.

Is there anyway to get around this and get these files opened without it?

thanks in advance.

Try admin with no password. Outside of that, you pretty much need to crack the file. While there is software that does it...you put the data itself at risk. And makes it inadvisable to use the file afterwards.
