FileMaker Run Time Solution MacOS Exit Button is Disabled

Recommended Posts

craigh

Hi,

I am very new to the Developer side of Filemaker so I am probably at fault. I have created a Mac OS Runtime solution and everything works fine except that the standard Mac OS Exit application red circle button is disabled and therefore I can't exit the application. I have no idea why this is ... please can you help me ?

Thanks, Craig

There is no such thing as a Mac OS Exit Application red circle button. They don't exist anywhere.

What does exist is a Mac OS Close window red circle button. I don't really have a good explanation for why the runtimes don't want you to close the window since multiple windows are possible, but to exit the application you do ⌘-Q just like you would in any other Mac application.

You can also include the Exit Application in a Custom Menu, or as a Button on the layout.
