I have set up a form. I want the user to be able to amend the form, and then be able to see which fields have been amended by making the text in that field red, or bold, or both. I want to do this by setting up a button so that when a field is selected, and you click the button, it makes the text in that field go red or bold or both. And also an undo button to unformat as well. How do I do this?

Would you consider an alternative approach?

make the auto-enter calculation for the fields are all textcolor (text; RGB(red;green;blue), with the numeric rgb values set to red. That way, on entry, the field content is red.

When you click SAVE (or some other button) it runs a script that does a textcolor (text (RGB(red;green;blue)) for each field, changing all the fields to say, black.

That way, during the edits, the fields entered are RED. On leaving the layout, the fields are all changed back.

There is probably a way to do this the way you described, but it does not sound very user friendly. smiley-undecided
