zach20 Posted June 5, 2008 Share Posted June 5, 2008 Hello, I'm using FileMaker Pro 8 Advanced. I have two Layouts, Layout 1 and Layout 2. In Layout 1, there is a field called Field 1. In Layout 2, there is a field called Field 2. Layout 1 and Layout 2 will both have multiple records. The Drop Down Menu will appear as Field 2 in Layout 2. I was wondering if it was possible to have Field 2 display the contents of Field 1 across every record in the database. For example, Field 1 in Record 1 contains "Dog" and Field 1 in Record 2 contains "Cat". Is it possible to have Field 2 in Layout 2 then display "Dog" and "Cat" as separate drop-down choices? zach20 Posted June 5, 2008 Author Share Posted June 5, 2008 Hello, Just saying that I figured it out. I had Field 2 of Layout 2 displaying data from Field 1 of Layout 1 and every time I chose a new option for the drop-down menu it would overwrite what was once in Field 1 of Layout 1. I smacked myself in the head and made Field 2 of Layout 2 show its own independent data and told the drop-down menu to take its data from Field 1 of Layout 1. Thanks!
