Esarahk
I am having an issue with a ghost record in a database. It is a research database where each individual record has a unique value ID field. A particular record, with unique value ID #1234 (for example), was deleted. However, if I search for the record with ID #1234, a blank record is found. This record is not included in the total number of records listed. This ghost record can be deleted, but will be found again if searched for record ID #1234. Also, if I create a new record with the ID #1234, I receive an error message that this record already exists and needs a unique value. Has anyone had a similar issue? Or more importantly, does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this??! Thanks!
zoedog
i had a similar issue. i could delete the records only to have them reappear. it may be indicative of data corruption. i tried 'file maintenance' and it didn't fix my issue. however, the 'recover' option did.
