Multiple XML File Importing

I have run into a wall in my FM scripting.

(Windows Platform)

 

I want to import several XML files to FM. Looking around the net and manuals, there doesn't seem to be a way to import multiple xml files as one could the text or image files.

 

So I would like to try importing the file names to some sort of list or text file and then looping script to import each xml file. Here is where the wall lies. I think my superiors would like to avoid plug-ins as much as possible.

Is it possible to do by scripting alone? If not, what would be the best plug-in to assist(I will argue a strong case to my superiors if need be)?
