how to print on continuous label roll?

Hi everyone,

 

Sooo, I have created a number of layouts by now, trying to print a label from filemaker (5.5) using a label printer with a continuous roll of labels (TLP 2824).

The problem seems to be that although i set up the layout in the right format, set up printing in the right format, what filemaker sends to the printer makes the printer think it's 11inch long. (and that's about 2 and a half labels instead of just one)

the label prints fine from a different database, just can't get it to work from filemaker.

Any hints anyone?

In Layout mode make sure that the layout parts are sized to fit on the label. Also in Layout mode > Layout Menu > Layout Setup > Printing

use fixed margins.

If you a scripting this print job you may need a Print Setup step wherein you define the paper size.

the right size is set up in the layout, also in print setup, and separately in the printer settings too. No idea why it's still always giving me 2 and a half lables instead of just one.
