MikeAz
I have created a database which opens automatically into a Guest Account (with read only privileges), however a colleague has played around with the privileges on this read only account (from a full privilege account), and now when I open the database I receive a "no access" message on all my layouts. Therefore I cannot do anything! Obviously I cannot access my account privileges from this account and it opens automatically to this account, so is there a way to override a user privilege or log in with another account (overriding the startup) or should I stop ripping out my hair and just build my database from scratch? David Head
Since you are running on Windows, hold the shift key while the database opens. This will prompt you for an account and password. Log in using the full access account.
vfxbern
will holding the shift key down while the database opens on a mac prompt me for an account user name and password as well? I am locked out of a database that I inherited. Will not allow access to layout or new record creations... and will not allow me to log in as a different user
AHunter3
On a Mac it is the option key, not the Shift key.
