Cross platform V9

I found a post from Kojo that informs me that to make a cross platform runtime in FMV8 you need to bind the file on the different platforms -not a problem to run the programe on the two machines.

 

Under the new security provisions of V9, where the software has to be installed and registered, do you have to uninstall it from the MAC and reinstall it on the PC etc to bind it for the two platforms? In these days of universal software this seems to be a bit of a pain in the Butt .. can anyone enlighten me on the situation please ..

You can have only two ACTIVE installations of a given license at a time. So you may need to temporarily DEACTIVATE one installation. Takes just a moment to do, no need to uninstall. Choose Deactivate from the help menu in FM 9.

Thank you for the advice -- I phoned FM here and they eventually told me of the two activation allowance which solves the problem nicely-- Cheers
