Multi-page fields and printing

Hi, I'm working on a letter layout and cannot get FM7 to print after the first page!

For example, the data entry layout has several yes/no radio buttons. Based on this answer, I have calculation/text fields to generate content. I concatenate these "memo1, memo2" fields need to add the full content ("memoFULL") to the letter layout.

Now, the letter has a standard header, footer and a start and end paragraph. The "memo" part comes in between, but it could even go to two pages. What is the best way to add this memo field.

I tried using > and even adding a field part referenced to memo. The first method restricts content to the size of the text-field. The second restricts content to the size of the field box. Is there a better way??!!

But, in both cases, Filemaker does not print after the first page. I am using "Print all Pages" from the print dialog.

Pls help!!! Thanks!

Hi ganeshv,

I believe both methods that you have tried will work, but you will need to do is set (drag) the text box or field size to the maximum that you think it might be (this could be three or four pages if you wished). You can then set that field or text box to shrink to your calculated text size using the 'Format'>'Set Sliding/Printing'>'Sliding up based on xxx, Also reduce the size of the enclosing part' option.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks. Works fine.

I had a merge-field on the layout after the other text fields and FM was printing only the first page. I changed that to a calculated text field and sliding works fine.
