change to Safari

I would like FM to open Safari instead of Mac Mail. I have tried to change, but no luck. It seems like Mac Mail is always the default.

thanks

Safari is not an email program. Mail is an email program. You can set up any email program to be your default email program (Apple Mail, Eudora, Thunderbird, etc) but it has to be a standard Aqua-recognized program (i.e., I don't think you can use an X11 build of Pine or anything) and it has to actually be an email program (i.e., you can't designate Microsoft Excel as your email program of choice, and neither can you pick Safari).

The existence of WEB mail gives some folks the illusion that Safari is sending mail. It isn't. Safari is giving you a remote connection to a computer maintained by your ISP or by the GMail folks or the Hotmail folks, etc, and THEIR computer is sending your email FOR you.

Safari is not an email program.

Pine! What a great program! It was my first and biggest e-mail breakthrough - a huge step up from VMS Mail. Getting a GUI pales by comparison.
