Dashboard

Hello!

I am interested in making a Dashboard of an FM database that will display content from a number of different tables on one screen. Only thing is I don't need them to be related records. Kind of like the dashboard on Outlook, Outlook today, which shows tasks, events, etc.

I know how to use the lists for related records and tables, but that's not what I want to do here. I want to just show lists of my actions, tasks, etc. (it's a productivity tool) sorted by priority. It's similar to the idea of using frames in a web page.

Any ideas?

If I am not clear, pls let me know and I'll do my best to clarify.

Thank you.

Manish

You can do that by setting up a Dashboard table. This table will contain various global fields that will assist you in filtering records in portals. then you set up various relationships to the other tables (Tasks, Actions, etc) that will be based on global field filters.

What you really need to define first is exactly what you want to see. For example, I doubt you want to see a list of all tasks ever. You probably want to see all Tasks not done yet, sorted by priority or date due.
