ibpilgrim Posted February 18, 2008 Share Posted February 18, 2008 I updated the mac hosting FM Server 8 to OS 10.4 using Archive and Install. The Server software was preserved in the archive but did not appear in the new system, i.e. the databases, etc. were all in the Previous System Folder, FM Server Admin remained accessible but Server is not working. All was well prior to the system update. Question: Should I just reinstall FM Server 8 and then move the databases from Previous System Folder to the new Databases folder. Will there be a problem with permissions, etc. in using Copy to move the Databases? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ender Posted February 18, 2008 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Yes, reinstall. You may need to reset permissions after moving the files. They should be User: fmserver with "Read & Write" permission, and Group: fmsadmin with "Read & Write" permission. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
