take out spaces in fields

Hi Guys

 

I import data from Excel to Filemaker. Recently I discovered that it also imported spaces. For example Firstname then space, space.

 

So when I put the Firstname and Lastname field in the layout there will be some spaces in between the fields. For example Roger(space, space, space) gap then the last name.

 

Is there a way of taking out the spaces in the field?
