bitstomper
Hi, I guess I am between a novice and an intermediate so I hope you can cope with any stupidity. I have just bought SMTPit Pro an email plug-in and am using FMP 8. They have supplied a mostly empty database that runs the plug in. I now would like the whole thing to be incorporated into my already existing database such that I have one window for entering the data (which I obviously already have) and also have the plugin displayed in the same window. How do I move everything over such that I can easily create relationships. In the end I would like to have a button that simply sends an email once I have entered the details of the client into the database. Thanks, Taree
AHunter3
Don't. Examine their script and how it works, then incorporate that method of sending and receiving email into your own solution. Trying to incorporate their example file into your solution is like trying to include the nylon mesh netting that your turkey was wrapped in into your Thanksgiving meal. bitstomper
LOL thanks. Lots of work to do. Hope I will be ready before thanksgiving though I wont have trouble with the netting as I am vegetarian (better for the turkey too).
bitstomper
Just one more question: What options do I have to import anything from the other database. So not records, but tables, value lists, etc...? Thanks
bitstomper
don't worry, I found the solution

A bit off topic here, but that was very clever, Allan. Did you just coin that analogy, or borrow it from elsewhere? I love it.
AHunter3
I take full credit
Skywise
That analogy is fantastic! I propose the practice of integrating two databases that don't belong together be forewith known as "mesh netting".
