Stopping a Find

In version 6 if you did a Find (Or a Find/Replace) you could hit the escape key to stop (or break) the Find if it was taking to long. In v 8.5 this seems to be mising. Pressing Escape while it is 'Processing Records" does nothing. Is there a way to break out of this Find/Replace mode, if you decide not to wait through the entire search?
