hypodermis
i'd like to achive this: when selecting a phrase from a drop-down list (e.g, to print one type of a form letter), a script would be started automatically, without having to click a button. i have heard about some plug-ins but is there and easier way to do this? thanks! Maarten Witberg
Actually there is a way to start a script from a drop-down before the actual selection is made. see here. Especially on a mac it is a kludge. I see you're on windows so it may be all right for you. As a side note. I'd hesitate to trigger scripts from drop-down selections that perform user options such as print or navigation. It is not uncommon that a selection made is not the one a user actually wants. A simple go! button is just a built-in safety and in my view, more user friendly even though it requires an extra mouse click. As a second side note, using a plugin for this is not really difficult. kjoe
