calliex
I am looking for a book, web site, etc. that has sample scripts that I can learn from. I need some examples with a explanation line per line to get myself started. The O'reily Missing Manual I have lists the componets of a script in detail but never puts it all together into a working script. Maarten Witberg
see if john mark osborne's VTC fits your bill. It has some freebees you can check out. I don't really know if it has much on scripting. The best way to start scripting is just dive in and see what happens. I find it helpful to write out the procedure in natural language "first this, then that, then some other thing" and then try to find appropriate script steps, one or more per procedure step. And if you have any specific questions, there's always the Filemaker Cafe kjoe
