Hide a field from printing

I have one field that is "internal" and not meant for printing. It holds information I need but don't want the customer to see.

 

How do I format a Text field so that it wont print?

two options:

1-use format-> "sliding/printing" options dialog: check the "do not print" box

2- use separate layouts, one for viewing on screen and one for printing

 

the latter is more work but it also allows you to optimize both: on screen, design demands different things than on paper.
