8.0 Advance Crash

We are running 8.0v3 on a Windows 2000 computer. In a tabed layout when you input data into the second row of the portal the program locks up and crashes. Of the eleven tabs only two of the them have tab/portal related crashes. Using the portals in non-tab forums works fine. Any suggestions?

This sounds like file corruption, maybe of the layout. I'd suggest you try going back to a known-good backup.

It began shortly after the installation of 8 from 7. I do not think I have a copy old enough in 8 that would meet the need.
